Kick off Father’s Day by joining us in Downtown Clarendon Hills for the Daisy Dash 5K and Kids Fun Run. The 5K race begins at 8 a.m. and the kids race begins at 9 a.m. This event brings to a close Clarendon Hills Daisy Days hosted in downtown Clarendon Hills all weekend.

The Daisy Dash, a certified 5K course, benefits Clarendon Hills D.A.R.E., the David C. Weber Foundation (www.thedcwfoundation.org)   and several other local causes. 

Thanks to everyone who made it happen-- Sponsors, Volunteers, Clarendon Hills Public Works and Police and the participants. This year we set a new record for 5k finishers and overall participation! USATF CERTIFIED COURSE IN 2010. The race will begin and end on the south end of downtown Clarendon Hills (Park Ave and Prospect Ave) and will be entirely run south of the tracks through beautiful residential Clarendon Hills.

This year's event features the latest in timing technology: The Chronotrack Disposable Chip! The computer chip should be attached to your bib. No need to wait until race day to pick up your chip - it's already on your bib when you go to a Pre-Registration/Packet Pick-Up event!

You must cross the special mats at the start and finish lines in order for your time to be recorded.

After crossing the finish line, the tag is your's to dispose of or to keep as a souvenir of your experience at the 2012 Daisy Dash.

Parking is available in the Metra Lot (Prospect Ave. on south side of tracks), along Burlington on the North side of the tracks and street parking Holmes Ave.

From Route 83 go west on 55th street.  First Right (North) on Holmes four blocks into Downtown Clarendon Hills.

For the 5K Race separate male and female awards are provided for the first 3 finishers in the following age groups:

• 12 and under
• 13 & 14,
• 15 to 19,
• 20 to 24, and every 5 year increment thereafter
• The Kids’ Run timing will record the time and place for all participants 10 years old and younger.

5K: Trophies are presented to the overall top 3 male and female.  Medals are provided for the top 3 male/female for each age group.    All children 12 and under will receive a 5K finisher medal.

The top 3 finishers in the Kids’ Run under the age of 10 will receive a trophy.  All children who finish will receive a Kids’ Run finisher medal.
